Frequently Asked Questions

Who can live at Rosewood?

Rosewood is open to adult women (18+) who are committed to living a sober lifestyle and actively working a recovery program. Residents must be drug- and alcohol-free at the time of move-in, willing to participate in a structured environment, and ready to take personal responsibility for their recovery. We welcome women coming from treatment programs, the justice system, or other recovery pathways, as long as they meet our criteria and are a good fit for the home.

Can I work or go to school while living at Rosewood?

Yes. Residents are encouraged to work, attend school, or volunteer. If you’re not currently employed, you have 30 days to obtain employment.

Can I have a car?

Yes, cars are permitted. Residents must have valid insurance and a license and follow parking rules.

Can I go on overnights?

Overnight stays outside of the house are not permitted during the first 30 days. After that, residents may request overnight passes in advance and must receive approval from the House Manager. Overnights are a privilege and are granted based on a resident’s engagement in her recovery, behavior in the house, and overall accountability.

Is there a curfew?

Yes. A curfew is in place and may vary depending on your phase in the house. All residents are expected to follow the house schedule and communicate about any exceptions in advance.

First 30 days: 10PM Monday - Sunday

After 30 days: 11PM Monday-Thursday, 12PM Friday-Sunday

Will I have a roommate?

Yes, most residents at Rosewood will have a roommate. Shared rooms help foster connection, accountability, and community—key components of early recovery. We do our best to place women in rooming situations that are supportive and respectful.

How do I apply?

To apply to Rosewood, simply fill out the application form on our website. Once submitted, we’ll review your information and reach out to schedule a phone interview. If we determine that you’re a good fit and a bed is available, you may be able to move in immediately, provided you are sober at the time of admission.

Alternatively, you may call us at 617-688-6268 or email hannah@rosewoodsoberliving.com

Is the house staffed 24/7?

Rosewood is a structured sober living environment that promotes accountability through drug testing, curfews, weekly requirements, and check-ins. It is not appropriate for individuals who require constant monitoring or 24/7 supervision, as residents are expected to manage their own schedules and responsibilities, including attending PHP, IOP, work, volunteer opportunities, and meetings.
